Chief Executive and Director

Paul is the Chief Executive of the Society and assumed this role in April 2020. He has been with the Society for a number of years having joined as Finance Director in 2011. Paul has extensive senior leadership experience having operated as Deputy CEO at the Society as well as previously holding senior roles at Next plc, Alliance & Leicester plc and East Midlands Development Agency. Paul is a Chartered Accountant and a strong believer in mutuality, considering it possible to offer quality products and competitive rates whilst giving both financial and physical support to their local community

Chief Financial Officer

Dan is a Chartered Accountant with significant finance experience, having previously held senior management positions at Capital One and Experian plc. He joined the Society in 2019 and is passionate about the mutual model and the way it can serve its local community. He believes finance should be centred on improving people’s lives.

Chief Risk Officer

Jim joined the society in June 2022 to lead the Society’s Risk team. Jim has over 20 years’ experience in financial services risk management, including spells at KPMG, Capital One and, most recently, The Nottingham Building Society. Jim has spent a lot of his career helping mutuals understand and interpret complex regulation in a proportionate way and he is excited to bring this experience to The Mansfield.

Head of Customer Experience

Danie joined the Society in October 2023 as Head of Savings Operations and brings over 20 years’ experience across financial services and customer operations. She has held senior roles at HSBC Commercial Banking, where she led the Commercial Banking Contact Centre, as well as positions at Nationwide Building Society, Derbyshire Building Society and Egg. Danie is responsible for our savings operations, ensuring we deliver efficient, high-quality service to our members.

Customer Service Executive

Dave joined the Society in March 2017 and has a wealth of mortgage experience after working at a variety of regional building societies and high street banks. His lending experience is fully utilised as a key member of our Credit Committee.

IT Executive

Iain joined the Society in March 2022 as our IT Executive to lead the Society’s technology and change strategy. Iain has over 20 years of technology experience working with heavily regulated financial services, having previously held senior management positions at London Stock Exchange, Fidelity International, PwC and HSBC. Iain is passionate about delivering sustainable change that brings continuous improvement and improves the overall experience our customers.

Commercial Development Executive

Richard joined the Society in July 2015 to lead the Society’s sales, marketing and customer engagement strategy. As well as over 20 years experience of working in retail financial services he has also delivered on customer centric marketing programmes both on and offline. Richard is a true customer champion and advocate of mutuality having previously spent over 13 years working for a top ten society.

Head of People

Vickie joined the Society in June 2014 as Human Resources Manager. Vickie is responsible for devising and implementing strategies and policies relating to the management of our employees to ensure we maintain a friendly, reliable and efficient service.
